The picture below is of an SBi Walker Boot commonly used in the treatment of diabetic ulceration of the foot. It is an offloading device used to try and help heal any problematic areas of the bottom of the foot that will not heal up. This condition is known as a diabetic ulcer and can be problematic in patients with diabetes. The boot will help take the pressure off the affected area; a technique known as offloading, hence the term offloading device.

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes then it is advisable to seek medical attention to assist you in managing your condition.

Don’t ignore it!
