Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is an autoimmune condition, commonly affects both wrists and hands. This occurs when the immune system attacks and destroys the cartilage between the small joints.
Post-traumatic arthritis caused by an injury or fracture may develop into arthritis many years after the injury.
